Expect the Unexpected

May our thankful prayers echo through the universe!

This week we continue to explore healing and forgiveness, and mark our gratitude for ongoing education. This week’s reading has Jesus learning from a Canaanite woman and acquiescing to her request to heal her daughter. Though she is not a Jew, Jesus learns that all people deserve to be met with love, treated humanely, and offered access to heal. Who is in the position of the Canaanite woman today? In our other reading, Joseph forgives his brothers for selling him into slavery. How might we continue to explore radical forgiveness? When can our misfortune help us adapt and find opportunities to help each other?
