Due to the conflict in Palestine and Israel, the "Come and See" Pilgrimage to Palestine and Israel has ben cancelled.

We continue to hold the people of this region in our hearts and prayers.

Details on the journey that was scheduled:

Rev. Marianna Harris and George Bartlett (former Ecumenical Accompanier) will host a pilgrimage to allow people to see for themselves what is happening in Palestine and Israel. They will visit key holy places while reflecting on God’s vision of peace and shalom. The program will be facilitated by the Sabeel Center in Jerusalem, a UCC Mission & Service partner.

We pray for safe and rewarding travels to Palestine and Israel for Gillian McLeod and 25 other Canadians joining this pilgrimage.

Come and See Tour:
Travelling to the Holy Land

Palestinian Christians have implored their sisters and brothers from other countries to “come and see.”

From A Moment of Truth
In order to understand our reality, we say to the Churches: Come and see. We will fulfil our role to make known to you the truth of our reality, receiving you as pilgrims coming to us to pray, carrying a message of peace, love and reconciliation. You will know the facts and the people of this land, Palestinians and Israelis alike.

To commemorate 75 years of Nakba*, BADIL Resource Center and Kairos Palestine have collaboratively produced a joint document addressing the situation of Palestinian Christians, focusing on their ongoing displacement, dispossession and denial of self-determination.

*Nakba = The Nakba, which means “catastrophe” in Arabic, refers to the mass displacement and dispossession of Palestinians during the 1948 Arab-Israeli war. Before the Nakba, Palestine was a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural society.

Gillian will leave on Saturday, October 14th, at 7:30 am to travel to Toronto, and then to Tel Aviv, arriving at 10:05 Israeli time and 1:05 in the morning BC time. There are approximately 25 people going on the tour from all over Canada. Gillian is excited and a little nervous and wants to be able to be open to learning and enjoying places and people visited. Many thanks for your encouragement, support and prayer.

Gillian will be doing a Lunch & Learn educational talk on Sunday, December 3rd, to share her experiences from her journey and to offer Palestinian items for purchase.
