Jesus is credited with many healing miracles. In a world where people with disabilities face barriers, could we offer healing by creating more accessible spaces and places? What if the demons we rebuke are those of ableism, and other poisonous assumptions, such as blaming disabilities on "the sins of the father?" Might Jesus' healing be offered to society? Rather than expecting and waiting for miracles, hoping we can pray away difference, might the path to healing be one of coming together, recognizing we are only temporarily able-bodied, and finding ways to heal together?
