On Monday, May 19th, the traditional May Day celebration will be taking place in Fort Langley. Activities begin at 8am with a pancake breakfast (at the Lions Hall at 88th Ave & Glover Rd), followed by the parade and Family Fund Festival in Fort Langley Park.
United Churches of Langley will be offering free coffee outside the St. Andrew's Chapel and collecting donations for the Starfish Pack program, while the Farmers' Market will be taking place in the parking lot. We will open the chapel and offer an opportunity for people to view it, sit down and enjoy some quiet time.
The final event of this year’s May Day will be Jazz AWE (Alternative Worship Experience) at St. Andrew's chapel, starting at 4:30pm (door opens at 4pm). This will be an interactive community experience of music, poetry, prayer and conversation, all weaved together as a beautiful tapestry of community. The event is hosted by Rev. Sophia Ducey and features musicians Dave Quinn, Tim Stacey and Doug Louie.
